The first-born electric direction Audi was born a long time ago, but the production of the crossover e-tron started only about a year ago. And the "green" SUV has already experienced the modernization of the design. Curiously, this is done for free: the price of e-tron in Europe has not changed.
Perhaps such a humane attitude to the price list is due to the fact that deep into the design of the crossover Audi engineers did not interfere. They were able to add to the power reserve of the e-tron on a single charge another 25 bonus kilometers (now a maximum of 436 km on the WLTP cycle), optimizing and reconfiguring some auxiliary systems, although the useful capacity of the battery at the same nominal capacity also increased.
For example, the crossover with four rings got rid of the so-called residual braking torque, which previously had to deal with, unproductively spending preagotsennuyu battery energy. This effect occurs when the brake pads are too close to the discs, and albeit slightly, but still affects the forward motion of the electric vehicle.
In addition, the Audi e-tron electric motor on the front axle can now be completely switched off: it does not participate in uniform forward movement, leaving this possibility to the rear electric motor. It is believed that this way of working also saves electricity. Finally, vsedorozhniku shook up the cooling system, making it more efficient, and reconfigured the recovery system.
And in the list of available options appeared package S Line, which provides not only more aggressive aerodynamic elements and 20-inch wheels, but also sports suspension settings. At the same time, in Europe, the Audi e – tron in the 55 quattro version costs exactly the same as before-at least 80,900 euros.
